Ready to Burn

by Brook Adams

Here is my CD, Ready To Burn. These are songs about love and friendship and redemption. Inspired by doo-wop, country, rock and soul. This is my "Port Huron Statement" (not the compromised second draft). I hope you can dig it bay-bee

Album Notes
Brook Adams plays retro pop music. His emotional songwriting and soulful whiskey voice evoke a timeless groove where the sounds of Bakersfield, New Orleans and the motor city coalesce.

He's a skilled player on guitar and uke, with Clapton, Van Halen and a little bit of choro in his trick bag. His surprising range of covers include Abbey Road On Ukulele (the entire album), Marvin Gaye, Earth Wind and Fire and wait til you hear "Life In The Fast Lane" on ukulele!

The Fountain Of Love At The Heart Of The World, was his first collection of all original music. Described in the Eugene Register Guard (May, 2011) as "Light and Bright". His new CD is called Ready To Burn and carries on his style with a new collection of hook filled retro pop.

Brook has performed at ukulele events in New York City, Portland, Napa Valley, Seattle, Santa Cruz, Berkeley, Hood River, Reno, Omaha, Monterrey, Eugene, Oakridge, and Port Townsend.
