Blow

by Mirjam Tally

Atmospheric landscapes, mixed with Tuva throat singing, birds, whisperings, bottle blowing and harbor squeaks. As a butterfly's wing stroke can cause a storm, might a powerful storm cause a butterfly's wing stroke.

ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Album "Blow" presents some characteristic sounds from my everyday environment, mixed to atmospheric landscapes: bottle blowing, heavy raindrops on my window, pizzicato of wineglasses. Some sounds are recorded during several years in harbor of Gotland: weird squeaks of boats, flag masts and metal constructions in the harbor; glass bottle, rolling in heavy wind. You'll find also sounds of rare birds, Tuva throat singing, whispering of a poem into flutes, several versions of a soundtrack from Ülo Pikkov's film "Body Memory", which has won over 20 prizes and has been screening at film festivals all over the world.
