ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Sally Barris, often compared to Alison Krause and Claire Lynch, writes and sings songs that sound like they came from another time. When Barris left Minnesota for Tennessee to follow her songwriting dreams, she went a little further east and fell in love with the music from the mountains. Music Row Magazine says; “Her soulful folk soprano is equal parts mountain music and ethereal poet”. Barris has captivated audiences on Mountain Stage, The Wildflower and The Kerrville Folk Festival. While her writing credits mightily impress with songs recorded by artists such as Kathy Mattea, Lee Ann Womack, Martina Mcbride and newcomer Ashley Monroe, fans are most taken with Barris’s high mountain soprano and stellar musicianship.
