Ainslie's Vibes

Tim Ainslie was born in Suffolk, East Anglia in 1972. Playing the guitar since he was 15 years old, Tim’s amazing ability led him to say goodbye to the day job when he turned professional in 1997. Tim formed Ainslie’s Vibes in 2009, (now called Tim Ainslie and The Vibes) a powerful three-piece band fronted by Tim, showcasing his original material and dynamic guitar playing. In 2010 Ainslie’s Vibes released their debut EP ‘The People Have Spoken’ this was followed in 2012 by ‘Standing Ten Feet Tall’.

Tim has become a highly respected musician and has created a reputation for being one of the most exciting, creative and versatile performers around. Tim has developed a unique style and sound encompassing Blues, Jazz and Funk but also crossing over into Country & Rock making it difficult to pigeon hole Tim’s exceptional playing.

Tim has been critically acclaimed by BBC Radio 2’s Paul Jones and BBC Blues specialist Stephen Foster –
‘.. .an outstanding guitarist with the ability to come up with catchy songs … It’s more about the notes he doesn’t’ play than the one’s he does’

Tim has recently been writing and recording with The Vibes again, ‘Pint Half Full’ will be released on 16th May, the title track of the new 10 track album ‘Pint Half Full’ which will follow in September 2018.

This is what some of the press have had to say…:

‘Pint Half Full’
‘Guitarist extrordinaire Tim Ainslie returns with one of his trademark quirky songs. Classy, funky stuff’. Stephen Foster, BBC Radio Suffolk.

‘Tim’s virtuoso guitar work’ Alan Harvey, Blues in Britain

‘I really like your music! It’s twangy guitar, up, catchy, foot stomping ... you also have strong Rock n Roll vocal going on … cool stuff’ Bob Johnson, programme Director WKPN Radio

‘You play some cool guitar driven Blues Rock, I like it! Your songs are well crafted and the guitar pyrotechnics always work in favour of the songs and never against them.’
Przemek Draheim, Radio Sfera, Torun, Poland
