BIOGRAPHY
In 2002, The Price Sisters originally formed Acoustic Minds as an acoustic trio. Together, they packed out clubs, sold over 5,000 CDs, and eventually toured the US in 2005 with then bandmate Jeremy Serwer. In 2010, Acoustic Minds was voted "Band of the Year" at the Portland Music Awards. Feeling they had finally made an impact on the Portland music scene and were ready to branch into a more electronic sound, enter Aaron Altemose and Josh Lorenzen as band members.
In 2012, Acoustic Minds released their first EP Electric Sol as a live soul electronic-influenced band. The AM has toured and performed at thousands of shows across North and Central America. This album marks the seventh release from the band and the first release under their new moniker The AM. This release is inspired by a challenging year of their life, and acts as a saga of woe, love lost, and trials and tribulations. The AM has collaborated with artists such as Pacific Northwest favorite Keegan Smith & the Fam, International Reggae Artist of the year Jah Sun, and Pacific Northwest hip hop legend Marv Ellis. Coming off a fall tour supporting long time musical pal, Lafa Taylor performing alongside Zion I, be on the lookout for tour dates from The AM. The band plans on delivering a whole new live set complete with projection and lighting to showcase each bandmate in unique ways.
