Andrew Martin

Andrew Martin received a M.Mus in percussion performance and a Ph.D. in musicology from the University of Minnesota. He has performed widely throughout the United States and Europe with such ensembles as the St. Paul Chamber Ensemble and Slovak Radio Symphony Orchestra. As a scholar, his research areas focus on intersections between American and Caribbean music as well as popular and folk music and musicians during the cold war period. As of this pressing, Dr. Martin is Associate Professor of Music at Inver Hills College.

Paul Richards is the recipient of numerous prizes and commissions. His works have been heard throughout the United States and internationally on six continents. Awards include those from ASCAP, the Jacksonville Symphony, and the Sligo/IMRO prize. Commissions have come from orchestras, wind ensembles, and his works have been recorded by Richard Stoltzman and the Slovak Radio Symphony Orchestra. Currently he is Professor of Music at the University of Florida.

Peter Farmer received degrees in music from the Boston Conservatory and the University of Michigan. His early training was in jazz as a trumpet player and later became interested in all forms of composition. In 1967 he attended the Ferienkurz fur Neue Musik in Darmstadt where he worked with Stockhausen. Farmer is equally at home in both secular and sacred music and has recorded many of his works with such orchestras as the Warsaw Philharmonic and Czech Radio Symphony Orchestra.

Elliot Miles McKinley received degrees in music from the New England Conservatory, University of Michigan, and University of Minnesota. His work has been performed throughout the United States, Canada, and Europe. Performances and commissions include those from the Minnesota Orchestra Warsaw Philharmonic, the Czech Philharmonic Chamber Music Society, and the Pittsburgh New Muisc Ensemble. Awards and grants include those from BMI, ASCAP, Meet the Composer, and Indiana University. As of this pressing McKinley is Assistant Professor of Music at Indiana University East.
