Andriana is an American singer/songwriter with a strong connection to her Ukrainian heritage. She has appeared as a vocalist, violinist, and dancer in theater and musical productions throughout New England, New York, and Los Angeles. While Andriana enjoys performing various genres of music, Ukrainian folk songs remain closest to her heart. Andriana's arrangements touch the soul with "heartfelt vocals and beautifully blended harmonies" (Yevshan, Quebec, Canada). Her carols and original songs (in English and Ukrainian) have been featured on programs such as The Morning Show in Boston, Nash Holos (Our Voice) Ukrainian Roots Radio of Vancouver, Canada, and international radio broadcasts in New York and New England.
Andriana's love of Ukrainian culture and language comes from her grandparents. She grew up listening to stories of their childhood home, which later inspired many of her lyrics. At age four, Andriana began performing at numerous church and community functions that celebrated Ukrainian traditions. She was often joined by her mother and aunt, who accompanied her with vocals, piano, and guitar. Eventually, they formed the Family Trio Heavenstar (Трiо Небозiр), appearing at events such as the Soyuzivka Ukrainian Cultural Festival in upstate New York, where "the audience was moved by this dynamic trio" (Svoboda Ukrainian Newspaper).
Andriana's upcoming album, Songs From Home, includes traditional songs of Ukraine, as well as original compositions by Andriana and her family. Upbeat tunes with fiddle and accordion make you want to dance, while the ballads pull you in with compelling vocals, piano, strings, flute, and mandolin. The CD is dedicated to the memory of Andriana's grandfather, who inspired the project through his deep devotion to Ukrainian culture, and who composed several of the songs.
