Anthony Kellman

ANTHONY KELLMAN is a multi-genre creative writer and singer-songwriter from Barbados. He is also a professor of English & Creative Writing at Georgia Regents University where he teaches song writing, poetry, fiction, and creative non-fiction. He's the author of five books of poetry: Watercourse, The Long Gap, Wings of A Stranger, Limestone (Barbados's first published epic poem) and South Eastern Stages. His novels are The Coral Rooms and The Houses of Alphonso. His awards include a U.S.A National Endowment for the Arts fellowship and Barbados's Prime Minister’s Award. He's released four CDs of original music, most recently, Come Again, The Best of Anthony Kellman, and he the originator of the Caribbean poetic form, Tuk Verse, based on the rhythms of Barbados' folk music. Anthony's style is Island Folk/World music which features an eclectic mix of various musical genres that include Caribbean and African folk, latin, and folk-rock.
