Antonio Raspanti

Antonio Raspanti is a Sicilian composer and double bass player who has turned his classic instrument into a little modern orchestra. With the aid of a loop station, not only he can turnable tturning a classic instrument into a surprising and overwhelming.

9 years of study of the double bass at the Conservatoire of Music A. Scontrino in Trapani with Maestro L.Ghidini, the Conservatoire of Palermo at V. Bellini and finally at the conservatoire G. Nicolini in Piacenza con M° E.Fagone, where he graduated in 2009.

He has performed, as first double bass section, with Orchestras such as the O.S.M (Orchestra Sinfonica del Mediterraneo), O.G.S.S (Orchestra Giovani Solisti Siciliani), O.K.P (Orchestra da camera Kandinskij di Palermo),
A.C.A.M (Accademia Concertante degli Archi di Milano) as well as wo in several performances with chamber music ensembles.

Since 2009 he has developed and composed music and artistic projects
aiming to blend music and body language,
particularly with the use of improvisation in Contemporary Circus (Flic School of Circus,Turin).

In June 2011 he performed original pieces at Auditorium Parco della Musica (Rome),
within the cultural event "Vivere di Cultura”.

In September 2012 he released his first solo album "So far," recorded entirely with acoustic double bass.

In 2013 he composed music for the Exit 12 ESAC (Ecole Supérieure des Arts du Cirque de Bruxelles) and for the contemporary dance show In Dote, as part of (Turin).

He is currently working on his next album.
