Enlisting the energy of an atomic bomb and the creativity of DaVinci himself, Matt Tardy made his debut under the name AudioBody in 2004 with the album, “Sound. Motion. Theater.” Music from the album was quickly picked-up by internationally acclaimed film-makers, EepyBird, and featured in two Emmy nominated videos depicting The Extreme Diet Coke and Mentos Experiments.

The burst of popularity was quite unexpected and he scrambled to fill the thousands of CD orders that came in from all over the world. For a period of a few weeks”Sound. Motion. Theater” was the #1 selling album from the largest independent distributor in the country! This was soon followed by countless TV credits including VH1, The Today Show, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Good Morning America, Inside Edition, MythBusters, and G4TV.

In 2007, AudioBody released a second album called “Do Something Difficult”, boasting 15 new songs of their funky techno-rock, including a remix of the ever-popular “You Gotta Tap”.

After having already toured the country for more than half their lifetimes as a physical comedy team, Matt and Jason decided to create an AudioBody live performance that would be the synthesis of music, comedy, and technology.

A few years later Matt and Jason emerged with an arsenal of audio-visual inventions, including wearable electronic jumpsuits that play music as they move, LED light tubes that are manipulated at high speeds in the dark, a 15 foot wide electronic drum-set, fluorescent light ropes that form the shapes of sound waves, and countless other unique performance gadgets.

In 2011, AudioBody released a third album titled, “We Are AudioBody”. This defining album for AudioBody features a slew of fresh, catchy, computerized hooks all backed by AudioBody’s signature big-beat drums and orchestrations! Don’t miss the Imperial March Remix!

“AudioBody is what happens when creativity collides with technology and takes the form of spectacle.”
