Banabila Steamin'Soundworks


Michel Banabila (Amsterdam 1961) is a sound artist, composer and producer best known for his album VoizNoiz (2000) which received international critical acclaim. His music is often described as cinematic and atmospheric. Banabila also makes musical contributions to film, television, theatre, video art and dance.

Music + collaborations
Banabila is especially keen on mixing disciplines and music styles, using elements and influences from jazz, electronic, classical and world music. In addition to acoustic instrumentation, Banabila uses electronics, field recordings, recordings taken from radio, television and film and recordings made with vocoderplugs. He collaborated with many different types of artists like Holger Czukay, Erkan Oğur, Eric Vloeimans, Scanner, Zenial, and Machinefabriek, among others.
