My love of music began at the wee age of 4. Growing up in a family surrounded by music, I started playing the piano by ear, imitating my mom's classical playing. I also began taking Piano, Guitar and French Horn lessons and soon began composing music. My first performed original piece was written for 6th grade graduation with artfully crafted lyrics - "why not ride in our Rent-a-Rocket, it puts plenty of money in your pocket!" My music background is pretty eclectic, I played in my High School Pep band and Drum & Bugle Corp (yeah, I was the geek who got stuck playing the Sousaphone because nobody else stepped up to volunteer).

I was also the pianist for my high school and the University of Pittsburgh glee clubs and was awarded "Who's Who in Music among American High School Students." One of my favorite memories was being the music director for the Jewish Community Center of Pittsburgh's production of "Once Upon a Mattress." I studied music and piano performance at the University of Pittsburgh with Nathan Davis and Natalie Phillips.

I've been in numerous Pittsburgh rock bands and also backed Bo Diddley, recorded with Todd Clark and also composed several original scores for the Penn Hills Players. I composed and played keyboards for Radian and co-founded The Anagram Principle - a Progressive Rock Duo - with long-time friend and collaborator - Tedd Arnold. The Anagram Principle released Realm of Being on EarthCat Records in 2013.
