Clay Campania

Born and raised in the Kate Ross projects in South Waco Texas, Michael Sanchez, a*k*a* Patron, was influenced by all genres of music from an early age. Living across the street from his grandfather’s lounge on S. 11th St., he was introduced to the music of Marvin Gaye, Michael Jackson, George Strait, Prince, Randy Travis, various tejano bands and many others. His passion for entertainment and performance grew as he would see live acts perform on the weekends. He himself would even sing and dance as a child and then walk around collecting tips.
At the age of 13, Michael began rapping and filling up notebooks with lyrics and songs while filling his head and ears with the likes of Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, Scarface, D.J. Quick, Too Short and UGK. Constantly encouraged by friends to rap battle and freestyle whenever the opportunity arose, in 2001 he started recording music and producing projects under the name Mike Pistols. He dropped a mix tape in 2003 and in 2006 released The Cocaine Chronicles where he achieved mediocre success.
Always struggling with the internal battle between the streets and the industry, Patron embarked on a major production in late 2007 after meeting producer/mentor Cold Cash in affiliation with Long Green Music out of South Central L.A.
After spending two years sitting in on sessions and learning production on a major level, Mike honed his skills on all levels of production and songwriting and began to work on his new material with himself as executive producer. In 2010 he also enrolled in various commercial music college courses including songwriting, audio engineering, and venue/artist management.
Patron is now a well rounded artist full of natural talent. His unique style and delivery combined with live music make him a one-of-a kind that is reminiscent of original southern rap yet somehow very refreshing and new.
Now residing in Austin, Tx, this artist is set to take the world by storm! New music, fresh sound and the charisma and skills of a veteran in the rap/hip hop game will make him a force to be reckoned with in the industry. Under A.D. Management, in affiliation with Gold Man Records, with an album entitled Day of The Dead in production, Patron plans on being the best Mexican American rap artist ever.
