Danilo DiPrizio

Self-taught musician, guitarist and visual artist. Graduated at Art Institute of Caravaggio in Brescia, then he has a degree in painting and visual arts at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera, in Milan. He studied music, composition and guitar with Walter Lupi, Bebo Ferra, Franco Morone, Francesco Saiu, Pierangelo Taboni, Federico Casagrande, Dusan Bogdanovic. He has shared the stage in Italy with the celtic-prog band Shooglenifty, Walter Lupi, Franco Morone, Cisco Bellotti (ex Modena City Ramblers). He also participated in several festivals alongside big names such as Vincenzo Zitello, Alex de Grassi, Michael Manring, Pierre Bensusan, Bob Brozman. From 2007 to 2011 he collaborated regularly with the singer-songwriter Ettore Giuradei in his albums “Era che Così” and “La Repubblica del Sole” and its related live tour throughout Italy, sharing the stage with Avion Travel, Modena City Ramblers, Cisco Bellotti, Roger McGuinn, Peppe Barra. As a soloist, he has composed soundtracks for short films and documentaries, as well as numerous collaborations and interactions with different forms of art, such as literature and theater. In 2011 published “L’altra metà”, a collection of original compositions for solo guitar. Since 2012 began the actual photographic & multimedia production with a series of stopmotion videos to expand his music through the image and video-art, as well as several commissions in Italy and abroad for musicians: Adam Jakab, Peter Modesti, Aldo Illotta luthier “Italianguitars”, Hamelin Consort, Oscar Del Barba, Alessandro Pedretti and Colin Edwin, Francis Spendolini, Rafael Becerra, Ayelet Karni. In 2013, also comes to life the audiovisual project “EndoMetaUltra” with the pianist and improviser Pierangelo Taboni, in collaboration with the Teatro delle Ali, in Breno, Brescia. He currently lives and works with the mexican lutenist Karina Gonzalez Treviño, which whom has performed since 2012 in Italy, Switzerland, France, Germany and Mexico, giving rise to instrumental duo “Filmincasa” due out in 2014/2015 with the first album.
