Lebanese-American singer and songwriter Diva's passion for music dates back to her early childhood. Born in Maryland and raised in Virginia till the age of 5, her musical education spanned from church choir to heavy metal, with a nod to the classic Oriental music of her heritage. Every day was filled with music from her parents' extensive collection. At the age of 8, a few years after moving to Lebanon, she started taking lessons in classical piano. She began writing and composing at the age of 14. By then, she had already performed on various stages, and even recorded for national Lebanese commercials.

Within a year she started experimenting with bands. Oldies, disco, dance, pop, jazz, blues, blues rock, hard rock, classic rock, heavy metal, in plugged and acoustic settings, at pubs, weddings, corporate events, concert halls, on national Lebanese television, intimate settings and at large-scale concerts with thousands of people in attendance. A jack-of-all-trades performer, but never compromising her schooling. At 21, she had already obtained her piano certification with distinction from the National Lebanese Conservatory, and graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in General Biology from Notre Dame University in Louaize, Lebanon. At 24 she received her Masters degree in Immunology and Microbiology from the Faculty of Medicine at the American University of Beirut, Lebanon. All this time, however, music was her number one passion and encompassed all her free time.

She brought her music back to the opposite side of the globe late in 2012, when she moved to Montreal, Canada to pursue her doctoral studies in Experimental Medicine at McGill University. There, she also successfully integrated the local live music scene. She played at local bars; participated in the Festival International De Blues De Tremblant, a festival gathering people and artists from all over the world to celebrate the blues; performing at the prestigious Festival International De Jazz de Montreal as part of Franky Selector's jazz fusion show; and also writing and recording with him and other local artists. A series of personal events and maybe the right twist of fate convinced her to pause her career in science, and she moved back to the US in April of 2015 to fully dedicate herself to her music.

Diva has since settled in Los Angeles, California and is recording her debut album. Since her move, she has performed at bars and venues across Los Angeles, and recorded and written for others as well. She is excited to lay tracks to all her experiences, blending edgy rock, soulful blues, and a large dose of authenticity. What you see is what you get, whether at a piano playing ballads or working up a crowd with a band.
