Music has been an integral part of Diva's life since the day she was born. First provided by her parents, her musical education covered everything from church choir to heavy metal to Disney soundtracks, with a nod to the classical Oriental music of her heritage. At the age of 8, a few years after moving to Lebanon from the US, she started taking classical piano lessons.
She was writing and composing by the age of 14, at which time she had already performed on various stages, and even recorded for national Lebanese commercials.
Within a year, she started experimenting with bands. Oldies, disco, dance, pop, soft jazz, blues, all genres of rock and even some metal, in plugged and acoustic settings, at pubs, weddings, corporate events, concert halls, national Lebanese television, intimate settings, and large-scale concerts with thousands of people in attendance.
Late in 2012, she moved to puruse her doctoral studies in medical science in Montreal, Canada, where she also successfully integrated the live music scene. She played at local bars; participated in the Festival International de Blues de Tremblant, a festival gathering artists and fans from all over the world to celebrate the blues; performed at the prestigious Festival International de Jazz de Montreal as part of Franky Selector's jazz fusion show; and wrote and recorded with him and other local artists. Traveling to her home country twice a year, she continued to play gigs whenever she was there, be it solo or with fellow Lebanese artists.
April 2015 saw her move again, this time to Los Angeles, California, to fully dedicate herself to her music. She performed at bars and venues across LA, recorded with and written for others, but more importantly, started working on her debut album. In
February 2017, she released her first single off the EP, a soulful acoustic piano ballad that reflects a more personal aspect of her writing. She continued to write as the year went on.
In the fall of that same year, she moved back to Lebanon to focus on her EP, and is excited
to lay tracks to all her experiences, blending all her influences with a large dose of authenticity.
