Earthkind is an instrumental progressive rock project conceived by American multi-instrumentalist Tony Parsons in late 2012. Tony’s goal was to create his own brand of melodic progressive rock music inspired by many of his influences, including Rush, Dream Theater, Porcupine Tree, Genesis, Yes, Emerson, Lake & Palmer, Haken, Riverside, Alan Parsons, Mike Oldfield, and many other progressive rock/metal bands.

Tony worked for two-and-a-half years crafting what would ultimately become the 75-minute self-titled debut album, "Earthkind". Released July 25, 2015, the album explores not only progressive rock and metal but also numerous other genres like jazz, blues, electronica, and New Age. It has been described by listeners as innovative, infectious, atmospheric, mood-evoking, and rhythmically complex.

Inspired by Wes Moore's book, "The Other Wes Moore", Earthkind's second album, "Two Trails", is the "soundtrack" to a story of two very similar boys who are abandoned by their families and end up in very different places in life. This album is filled with melodic progressive rock reflecting the changing emotions, struggles, and triumphs of the two boys as their cumulative life choices determine their ultimate fates. Released August 19, 2015.

The third album, "Goodbye Waves", picks up where the debut album left off, continuing the storyline with a unique blend of hard-driving, melodic progressive metal and symphonic space rock. Released January 23, 2016.

The fourth album, "Down to Earth", is a symphonically-infused progressive rock concept album that tells the story of a team of skydivers and the wide range of emotions they experience before and after they make a high altitude jump. Released October 26, 2016.

The latest album, "Windswept", is the third part of the Earthkind saga and Tony's most ambitious work to date, combining melodic progressive rock with moving orchestral pieces. Released October 18, 2019.

In 2019, Tony earned a Bachelor of Music Degree from the University of Cincinnati - College-Conservatory of Music (CCM), with concentrations in Jazz Percussion, Piano, Composition, and Commercial Music Production.
