Eileen Meyer

Eileen Meyer is all about healing, transformation and sharing inspiration and wisdom in word and song. And while she has studied and graduated from a variety of energetic healing approaches, more often she applies what she has been shown through her direct contact and teachings from expanded states of consciousness. All this while concurrently balancing the left side of her brain as a filmmaker and editor. With the exception of a few side trips and stays in Hawaii and the Pacific Northwest, Eileen has been a resident of Santa Fe, NM since the turn of the century - where she continues to broadcast her empowering feminine expression in both the performing and healing arts, and as a conscious producer/entrepreneur.

In 2000, after moving from her longtime residence in San Diego, CA to Santa Fe, New Mexico, Eileen released her first independent solo CD, “Inevitable” - ten passionately written songs, conceived on the piano, then transformed into what was coined, “angels singing over flying soundscapes”. All three of her albums were produced by Grammy Award-Winning Guitarist/Producer, Larry Mitchell, who has played guitar and/or toured with Tracy Chapman, Billy Squier and Ric Ocasek, to name a few. At the end of 2002, Eileen independently released her second CD, “All in One Day”, and her third CD, "Songs of Anima" was released in 2008 - both enthusiastically welcomed by radio and fans while generating several licenses for use in television and documentary film. A long-anticipated fourth CD is in the writing phase, and definitely peeking over the horizon towards production.

Eileen’s songs have been described as real, about life - embracing divinity in our human form - from a woman’s perspective and told from an intelligent inner voice. Her performances are very personal, engaging experiences, where she reaches out with her own authenticity and touches the listener on ever-deepening levels - often taking them by surprise. Eileen sings her way into our hearts, and while there she helps us to heal from life’s pain. Through her tone, melodies, and presence, she invites us to remember how powerful we truly are.

Press Quotes
"Over the hundreds of gigs we have presented in the past few years I have rarely met a more integrated musician/person, one with equal parts heart, mind, soul and just plain ridiculous chops as Eileen Meyer.  You just don't emerge unscathed from the beauty of her performances." -- Bruce Dunlap, Musician / Executive Director, Open Arts Foundation

“Eileen Meyer has a big, big voice…a powerhouse singer-songwriter.”
– Karla Peterson, Arts Writer, San Diego Union Tribune

"A real positive force in the world. Listeners instantly relate to her themes and if there was justice in the music industry she would be as big as Tori Amos and Sarah McLachlan."
-- Ira Gordon, Program Director, KBAC 98.1 FM Santa Fe

“There is an ethereal quality to Meyer’s voice... her lyrics are about healing, learning, growing through pain and coming out on the other side. You have to be a grown-up with real life experience to write songs with this kind of depth, this kind of wisdom.”
-- Eileen Kalinowski, Tempo Magazine/The Taos News
