Endfield

Biography Endfield

It’s the primal force that makes Endfield equal hard alternative rock like the Smashing pumpkins, Audioslave and even Tool. Interwoven with atmospheric guitar driven hooks that keeps Endfield’s music recognizable and simply beautifull.

Endfield has a history dating back to 2005, where Bas Van Dun (Lead guitar) and Pief Luszpinski (Vox, guitar) both heavily pressed their marks on the initial Endfield that came to its end. Bas and Pief stayed in touch, wrote songs and held the Endfield name, always on the lookout for drummers and bassplayers with the same mindset to get the band on the right track. With several players trying out in between the final formation came in late 2013.
Freek Bouwmans (drummer) and Jelle Raaijmakers on bass, things changed. With both of them in the group Endfield is slowly making a name for themselves in the Netherlands and beyond.

The band is unique in the sense that it always operated completely on a DIY basis and continues to do so. Recording, Music- and videoproduction are all done by Endfield.
After a lot of demo’s prior to 2016, Endfield wrote and produced their first single “Cold”.
They knew they had something good, and quickly added their first music-video to the single.
“Cold” got launched and held the Nr.1 position in the Dutch Indiecharts for 8 weeks.
“The year of the pig” quickly followed but was less radiofriendly to say the least. Still it managed to get noticed by one of the leading Metal magazines.

Piefs lyrics deal mostly with topics that concern a lack or decline of morale. His own, or as a generalization. In a slightly poetic sense and definitely avoiding specifics, he paints a picture of mans decline without being a preacher. Like sad facts presented with a tear and a vague smile at the same time.
