I was blessed with very talented friends who were my band mates then and vital recently for their contribution to my solo work. My taste in music is very eclectic and I think it shows in my compositons. My early heroes were Geddy Lee, John Entwistle and Chris Squire. As my taste for "bass" grew, I discovered great players like Stanley Clarke, Michael Manring, Marcus Miller and Victor Wooten. However, when I first heard Wayman Tisdale, I really related to his use of tenor bass as a lead instrument on top of another rhythm bass player. Though I lean away from funk as a style, his formula made a lot of sense to me. My music is an offering to God and I hope it blesses you too.
