Greg Poppleton and the Bakelite Broadcasters

Greg was hooked on 1920s - 1930s jazz from age three when he saw Louis Armstrong on TV. So he's absolutely authentic.

He has appeared in Hollywood movies with Nicole Kidman, John Goodman and Adrien Brody.

Baz Luhtmann auditioned him twice for the band leader role in the movie, 'The Great Gatsby'.

Greg has released five albums. Two have been played on commercial radio. He has over 1.25 million YouTube views for his 1920s - 30s swing jazz.

2006 - The Phantom Dancer: Album of the Week: Women's Vintage Radio (US)

2012 - Doin' The Charleston: Album of the Week and Commercial radio airplay

2013 - Sweet Sue: Album of the Week

2016 - Back In Your Own Backyard. Commercial radio airplay

“Damn, I wish I had known you when we had a theatre. We would have called you over to perform with us in a minute! Your great voice, your ability to “sell a song” and your particular energy came across as completely American while sounding Australian! And that trio is an absolute knockout.”
- Lance Belville, Writer / Theater Director, San Francisco
