H. Metcalf

Transformed and deeply rooted in Christ, H. Metcalf has truly been delivered from darkness and into God's Marvelous Light.

Blessed with numerous gifts, prior to being delivered from the secular world, he used those gifts to entice fans all over the United States.

Born Harold Metcalf, in Forrest City, Arkansas, he is one of 13 children. He began his musical career at the age of 15. He played trumpet, drums and sang lead vocals in a six piece band, "The Fabulous Uptights".

In the spring of 1970, he recorded with the group "Abraham and His Sons" on Revenue Records (a division of Universal Records). He played trumpet and co-wrote the hit single "Your Mother Understood".

During those secular years, Metcalf performed with super stars like Al Green, The Chi-lites, Luther Ingram and Albert King, just to name a few. Chosen and filled with God's Holy Spirit, in October 2001, Metcalf was transformed by watching Bishop T. D. Jakes on TV at 2 o'clock in the morning. After being changed, he was called to minister the Gospel of Jesus Christ as a psalmist. Demons tremble as the gospel flows from his inner soul, with the appointed, powerful voice that God has given him.

He began his ministry at his local church, “The Church of the Living God”, in Champagne Illinois. He has ministered at National Church of the Living God Conventions in Los Angeles, California and Atlanta, Georgia. He also ministered at numerous gospel (outdoor) concerts in Chicago, IL.

He has made several appearances at the Gospel Announcers Guild in Kansas City and St. Louis, Missouri and performed countless times at other churches throughout the Midwest.

One of Metcalf’s major accomplishments was when he was selected to appear on BET’s Bobby Jones Gospel “New Artist Showcase”. His performance was so powerful and captivating, it aired twice on Word TV Network in the same month.

In October of 2005, God relocated Metcalf to Dallas, TX for spiritual growth under Bishop T.D. Jakes. He is a member of the Potter's House Church and a member of the Bishop's Choir. When possible, Metcalf ministers on Sunday mornings at the Potter’s House with the Bishop Choir.

Now running his own gospel distribution company, (New Voice Distribution), Metcalf is pressing toward the mark that God has set for him, which is spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ by song, testimony, or by any means necessary that pleases and glorifies God.

Metcalf, “The Message in my music is not intended for just those who know Christ. It is not intended for those who look spiritual but are consumed in vain glory. My music ministry is intended for those who are “stuck”. Stuck in drugs, crack, cocaine and alcohol. Stuck in pornography, fornication and adultery. It is for those who are caught up in a world that thinks that Bad is Good and Good is Bad.”

If you are searching for something, something where the music sounds good to the ear, but has a message in it that will feed your inner soul, then you should listen to the Ministry of H. Metcalf. Plainly stated, his music gives to Christians and worldly folks, music that you will enjoy and love—but—with a message from above.

Metcalf, “It is my prayer that the music and the messages that I minister to you, that God will use me to deliver you and set you free. Just like he used T.D. Jakes to deliver me”.
