James Leahy

James Leahy started out as an orchestral composer and classical guitarist. After later adding singer-songwriter and studio recordings to his resume, delving into modern music forms such as rock, jazz, pop, and modern genres such as beat, indie, house, dub-step and others had their influence.

12 years ago, in 2005, he sought out to compose & produce the highest quality digital music possible. This ended up with producing digital renditions of Rachmaninoff, Tchaikovsky , classical piano renditions of Chopin, Schuman, Albinoni Tomaso and others. Avoiding the midi point-and-click and snap to grid methodology so common in today's "versions" of classical music, these pieces were produced one note at a time, and one instrument at a time. This process can take months, or even years as in the case of the new release Paracletus: Violin Concerto No. 1 in G Minor, Op. 1 "Paracletus": 1. Allegro moderato, representing 4 1/2 years of work.

With 40-year background in classical and modern music, he creates and produces original classical music, folk albums, sound tracks, filmscores, along with media production in his own studio in CA, USA, using the highest quality equipment.
