I am a nurse with 27 + yrs in nursing, now experiencing a lifelong dream of making music.

my life has been literally from (Streets to Suites) ~ as in living in the streets in 1973/74 to working in the operating room 30 years later as an RN

Working in Hospice for 12+ taught me the importance of "Quality vs Quantity" of Life.

My early influences were Roy Clark, Elvis, Johnny Cash. It was in the Catholic School at St. Joseph’s in Milton that I met a friend who influenced me with his talk of “guitar lessons”.
Years later, that same friend would inspire the recently (2015) recorded song Razor Rat.

Then the British Invasion! Beatlemania and Bubble Gum Cards. I started playing air guitar and interest grew.

Next there was the discovery of Jimi Hendrix on the FM air waves one night listening to my new transistor radio, and finally in 1970 I was given a copy of Led Zeppelin III for Christmas.

I bought a friend’s old guitar in 1973 and learned a few chords. It was stolen later that year along with everything else I owned outside Gallup, New Mexico.

After spending the next year between LA and Phoenix on the streets, I hitched cross country several times. One freezing December night in Flagstaff, Arizona, on the on ramp off I-17 North/Route 40 E, a fellow traveler handed me a harmonica for some improvised jams in the woods near a fire.

A week later I sat on the steps of the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville and made enough spare change playing that harmonica to get in to see Alice Cooper’s concert.

I can honestly say that the first money I ever made as a musician was at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, Tennessee!

Drifting finally landed me in jail in Little Rock, Arkansas for hitchhiking on Route 40 East. Gathering up what remained of my lives at this point I started the long slow process of healing. In 1974 I settled in my hometown, Milton, PA. and playing electric and acoustic guitar.

In 1975 I joined a local Country band called the Sundowners. Love for rock eventually led me to meet what later became known as Jonah’s Wail in 1976.

I started playing lead guitar with Angry Moon in 1979, Rampage in 1983, and have continued to play and write music ever since, with a long break from bands between 1985 and 2000. During this time I became a nurse. Since then I have worked my way up through the nursing ranks from CNA, to LPN and currently an RN going on 26 + years total in nursing.

Giving lessons at the Studio Brick in Danville between 1996-1998 provided much needed inspiration to continue live performances, satisfying the need to play by performing solo gigs at coffee shops, dinner engagements and private parties. In 2000 I was with a duet called Time Leapers and from 2005 thru October 2008 the band called Rock Therapy.

Currently I am taking a break from playing to nurse an issue with my left hand middle finger (Trigger Finger) and a complicating arthritis. Thankfully, I was able to finish my latest CD the week before my hand gave out!

I eventually hope to once more occasionally give private guitar lessons, perform solo gigs, and will forever be writing and recording for another CD. Children of the Lonely was released on Christmas Day. My surgery for my Trigger Finger was March 12th and I am slowly working back up to playing and hope to be able to at least continue to compose and record. Sadly, I may no longer be able to do live performances. Time will tell. Thank you for taking the time to look into my soul! I wish you all Hope, Love, and Peace!
