Jimmy C Williams

Hello to all my Country Music Friends at Home and Abroad,

My name is Jimmy C. Williams, and I am so pleased for the opportunity to introduce myself to you.
This Introduction is intended to give you some background information on who I am, where I’m from,
and what I’m doing in Country Music.

I was born in a small house next to the railroad tracks in Lawton, Oklahoma, U.S.A.
I reckon that explains my love of steam locomotive trains, and the God given gift of having the
ability of imitating their steam whistles, which I started doing at an early age to my Family’s
amazement and at times entertainment.

My Dad was an Oklahoma cowboy, making a living driving cattle to the auction stock yards from the ranches and farms.
I spent my early childhood intent on being the best cowboy I could be, just like my dad, who was my first cowboy hero.

Our Family moved quite often due to my Dad’s winter cowboy work in Oklahoma and summer work as a share crop
worker on farms and ranches in South Eastern New Mexico.
My school years up to High School were split between the two states, changing schools two times a year.
It was tough at times, but that was a good character builder.

The only stable thing in my early life was country music; it was always the same wherever I lived and a big comfort
in my constantly changing childhood.
I developed a talent for singing, easily learning the songs and closely imitating the country music singers on the
local radio stations that I listened to with my Parents and Grand Parents.
We listened to WSM Grand Ole Opry on Saturday evenings, into the wee hours of the night.

After graduating high school, I served eight years in the U.S. Air Force, graduated college,
completed engineering management and pilot training.
Today I am a country music singer, train engineer, and aircraft pilot, but you can just call me: “The Educated Cowboy”.

I am thrilled to be releasing my first CD with BSW Records.
Many of the train songs I sing are the ones I grew up listening to and singing along with on the radio during my early years.

I started singing country music professionally in the 1980s with a country band we named the “Country Gentlemen”,
and I worked in Nashville pitching and singing songs I wrote.
Recently, I have been very fortunate to have teamed up with a group of talented musicians who have assisted me
in producing this new CD titled “Ride the Trains, with Jimmy C.”

Please enjoy my rendition of these classic train related country music favorites, which include my very own
vocal replication of steam locomotive whistles in the songs.
I am looking forward to performing these songs and whistles live on stage for you real soon.

We are scheduled to be in Berlin, Germany at the MESSE Country Music Showcase
on February 1-3, 2013, and I hope to meet many of you there.
I will be available for interviews, and am looking forward to talking with you.

And to all the DJs, a big “thank you very much” for playing my songs on your radio programs.
Please remember, if you would like to set up an interview with me in advance, please contact BSW records
and they will give you my contact information.

Best regards,
Jimmy C. Williams
