John Gatti

John Gatti has been a professional musician, composer and arranger for over three decades. He is proficient on piano, organ, and harmonica, as well as synthesized music through full orchestration. John is also an accomplished saxophone, clarinet and flute player. He is one of a small number of keyboardists skilled at playing and programming the breath controller.

John Gatti has recorded on Arista, Roulette and several independent labels, as a member of groups Truth, The Good Rats, and Grover Kemble and ZaZuZaz. While with these bands, John shared the bill with such artists as Bruce Springsteen, The Grateful Dead, Journey, STIX, Rush, Peter Frampton, Heart, Weather Report, The Glen Miller Orchestra and others.

“Life Lines, Heart Lines”, a CD of John’s compositions, was released in 2002 and is available through His original soundtrack for the Mac-based video game, “The Adventures of El Ballo,” was completed in 2006. His next CD, “Destinations”, a jazz recording of original music, will be released in February of 2011.

As a commercial composer, John has created music and recorded commercials for such companies as Mercedes, Shop Rite, American Airlines and Buick. In addition, John played on the movie soundtrack for a horror film, “Vultures in Paradise,” and in 2004 a song he co-wrote was featured in the movie “Grownups”, starring John Stamos.
