John Salib

John Salib is a twenty-year-old artist from Toronto, Ontario. John Salib has been in many musical productions such as “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat” (Lea Polson’s Theatre), “Noye’s Fluude” (CBC Television), and starred as Harry Potter in “A Very Potter Musical” (CCAA). Not limiting himself to only musicals he joined DCYT, a theatrical troupe established in Toronto, and toured Ontario as Peter Pevensie from “The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe.” John then trained at Humber College for Theatre Performance, but left after his second year to pursue his career. He then participated in Sky Gilbert’s “Kitchen Party Nervous Breakdown.” This was where John made his break into short films. John is currently working at expanding his horizons in acting, especially in film. John is not only known for his acting but also for his music. John’s music has been used as underscoring in many of his own physical scores/plays as well as shows like “Jamie’s Gone” (Broken Soil Theatre), and “Deficiency Syndrome” (ITP). Currently, John is working as a composer, movement choreographer, and actor, all while finishing his debut album titled Distant Star
