Questions I've been asked:

q. How did I get discovered by Andrew Loog Oldham, producer of The Rolling Stones?
a. Yeah, that was a while back... It was the early '70's and I wasn't playing a gig or busking. I was working at a mens clothing store selling Levi's and he came in. I gleaned his address and phone # off the check. He then "discovered" me sitting on his doorstep...

q. Have I been in a lot of bands?
a. Yes. I got in my first band when I was 13. Pretty much all my life but for the past 12 years or so when I went solo. But you know what? I've just started another band, so now I'll be doing that as well as gigging solo.

q. Just how old am I, and how long have I been at it?
a. I was born in 1949 and I've been playing 55 years!

q. What are my influences?
a. I began playing at an early age and plowed through the Mel Bay System. I spent a lot of time with Guitar Boogie Shuffle and with Malaguena. As a young teen I was into The Ventures, and a bit later The Zombies, Animals, Young Rascals and The Lovin' Spoonful. Since then I've tried to be careful about listening to anyone too much... Originality is important to me. If I do someone else's song, I like to change it up bigtime.
