Kate Lush is taking off into a whole new stratosphere, right now. The Aust Blues Chain Award winner is in creative overdrive, firing out an #1 Album last year & rocking festival stages & venues all over Australia & now has hit the U.S. Top 20 RMR charts. Here she is again with her unmistakable soulful grit, that red hot band & some great songwriting. She is gritty, soulful & straight from the heart. Think Susan Tedeschi, Sara Bareilles with a dash of Aretha’s Soul & Bonnie Raitt’s harder rock edge.

This is the 4th album from the Kate Lush Band who just entered the top 20 U.S. RMR Charts at #19 as well as the Top 20 Singles Chart at #19 for Pack It Up. The album sits along side the likes of John Myall, Norah Jones, Mr Sipp, Tedeschi Trucks, Samantha Fish & The Rolling Stones. Kate is currently #3 on the Australian Blues & Roots chart this week. It also placed as Finalist in the U.S. IAMA Songwriting Competition & U.S. ISC.
A full year in the making, it is the most gripping, classy blues album she has produced to date. Her albums always take you on a journey, in the way that albums from the 70’s used to & truly this is no exception.

What they are saying....

U.S. Blues Blast Magazine April 2017

"With one other album, two EPs and one single to her credit since making her recording debut about five years ago, full-throated Kate Lush has been making a major name for herself at home in Australia, and one listen to her latest disc, Let It Fly, clearly demonstrates why.
A lady who delivers soul-drenched blues with a clear, crisp alto, Lush's previous release, Do You Know What Love Is, garnered her newcomer of the year honors at the 2016 Australian Blues Music Awards. Along with Fiona Boyes and Nick Charles, she was runner-up to Lloyd Spiegel as artist of the year. A gifted tunesmith who produces material that falls somewhere between old-school Motown and the bluesiest of blues-rock, she's currently a finalist in America's IAMA Songwriting Competition and vying for another trophy in the International Songwriters Competition, too.

Available through iTunes, CDBaby and Bandcamp, Let It Fly soars throughout. Like Dave Hole and Boyes before her, it won't be long before Kate Lush becomes a household name among blues lovers in the U.S. Get on board before the tsunami from Down Under reaches our shores. You'll be happy you did." - Reviewer Marty Gunther

Sydney Morning Herald

"There’s a very good soul and R&B package here. The swing of Freddy King’s Pack It Up opens with a solid funkiness & strut to her vocals. That Lush, who has written pretty much all tracks, has a voice that isn’t really roughened to the extent you might expect for songs like the powerful Come With Me and the pushing-through Somebody Like Me – more suited to the clearer balladry of I’ve Move On or the tempered blues of Good Good Love – isn’t a problem. She carries it off and shows in Roll Over You that roughness isn’t needed anyway"

“Congratulations on an outstanding new cd. It is "world class" & showcases terrific vocal talents, great songwriting & tight arrangements & the production is 1st class. I love the range of styles from classic up-tempo funk, to cool blues and RnB & sweeping epic ballads. Your rendition of John Prine's song "Angel from Montgomery" is truly inspiring. A beautiful piece. You should be very proud of this album and i hope it gets all the attention and success it richly deserves.” David Roman - 2SSRFM 99.7

There’s an infectious joy that comes out of Kate Lush’s music. Her heart & soul are in every song & performance. “It’s heart and soul on a stick. For me it was love at first hear. It kicks arse from track #1. Kate sings the shyte out of every song, the band seriously cooks & the production & arrangements are masterful. If it was a recipe it would be high end 5 star stuff. Make no mistake, this is something special on a number of levels.” “Love it!" Mike Drayson - Sydney's 2SM on Kate’s recent album (Wild Captain Radio Tour)

Kate’s first & second albums “Don’t Wait Too Long” & ‘The Wild Captain Radio Tour’ have won numerous awards in Australia & the U.S. Her third & most recent self titled Blues EP has received a nomination for Best Blues artist & Best Newcomer of 2016 in the Australian Chain awards. Her first earned her Best International in the Songwriters Assoc. of Washington (U.S.), Best Female in the Int. Acoustic Music Awards (U.S.) and the Aust. Songwriters Assoc. awarded her their coveted Rudy Brandsma Award for Excellence in Songwriting.
