Kyle Knight

Armed with a desire to reveal truth through music, Kyle Knight is an artist whose sound seeks to explore beyond the confines of strictly Hip-Hop. As an MC, he places focus on lyricism, aiming to evoke the kinds of storytelling that have kept the culture alive for so long. Hailing from the birthplace of it all - New York City - Kyle Knight quite literally grew up in the music studio, one operated by his father. As such, he developed an ear for professional-level recording and live instrumentation, characteristics which have become intrinsic qualities of his own music.

Like many of the artists in his generation, Kyle Knight uses his music to make sense of the sociopolitical climate in which we live, citing police brutality and protest movements it has inspired as major points of inspiration for him. But he’s also passionate about love and compassion, both of which serve as the driving force behind his forthcoming single, “Addiction.” In it, he explores America’s prescription-pill addiction and the opioid epidemic plaguing millions of people around the world. Similarly, his video for “The Truth” seeks to uncover the realities of life with unflinching directness, and takes a Public Enemy-esque look at brainwashing, greenhouse gases, terrorism, and more.

Drawing inspiration from everyone from Bruno Mars to Nas, Kyle Knight prides himself on being an emergent artist unafraid of exploring multiple genres, and hopes one day to bring his lyrical style of Hip-Hop to a place in which it can freely mingle with Pop and Dance music. Such a mélange of sound would be embraced by his audience, an international community whose diversity shines across age groups and ethnicities.
