Singing has always been a passion of min. It made me feel good. Life's stresses take a toll and this was an escape for me. The biggest thing I have found out, is the amount work that goes into just performing, recording, and releasing one single song. It looks SO easy from a distance.

The process for me was, in a way, simple. Connect with the song. If it has meaning to you, you have cleared the first hurdle. Then, finding a way to make it your own. There are a lot of twists and turns on that road. Then, you find out that you need to put yourself out there, not to be afraid to put your emotions on your sleeve. If YOU feel it, the listener will feel it.

A true artist can use his or her vulnerablities as a strength.

I started out singing into my phone, and that was hard - at first. Then going into a recording studio and singing into a professional microphone, hearing it back for the first time, and getting feedback on the performance from someone who has more experience was refreshing. I now had someone who could tell me whether it was going well or headed for disaster. Learning the value of tempo, tuning, timing, and pitch control were all valuable lessons that I am thankful for.

I get my inspiration from lots of different artists from lots of different genres, nothing is off limits to good music. Country? give me Vince Gill, Randy Travis, John Denver, Alan Jackson, Chris Stapleton. Soul & R&B? I love The Temptations, Boyz To Men, Ben E. King. Pop? Artists like Justin Timberlake, Ed Sheeran, Gavin Degraw, Michael Jackson and Prince.
Rock? Queen. Journey, Boston, Guns and Roses and the list goes on and on...

Finally, I would just like to thank you for taking the time to stop here and read a little about me. Please let me know what you think.
