Madhu Wangu is an author and the founder of Mindful Writers Groups and Retreats. She leads writers' in meditation at workshops, seminars and retreats. Her meditations inspire, improve focus, inspire and increase creative flow.
 
Based on decades of the practice of mindfulness meditation, Dr. Wangu developed Writing Meditation Practice that includes journaling, sitting and walking meditations, and wordless recreations. A must for novice as well as professional writers.

In 2010, she founded the Mindful Writers Groups in Pennsylvania that has four chapters in North, East and South of Pittsburgh, and one online at https://www.facebook.com/groups/706933849506291/?source=create_flow.

She released her first CD, “Meditations for Mindful Writers: Body, Heart, Mind” in 2011. Her second CD, “Meditations for Mindful Writers II: Sensations, Feelings, Thoughts” was released in 2017. The third CD, "Meditations for Mindful Writers III: Generosity, Gratefulness, Self-Compassion, Trust" will be released in July 2019. The practice of these meditations stir imagination, insights and intuitive ideas.

An award-winning author, Madhu Bazaz Wangu has a doctorate in the phenomenology of Religion and a post-doctorate from Harvard University. She released her debut collection, Chance Meetings: Stories About Cross-Cultural Karmic Collisions and Compassion in 2015. Her debut novel, An Immigrant Wife: Her Spiritual Journey was published in 2016 and the second novel, The Last Suttee, in 2017.
