This audio version of Grandma Honey and The Children of Light is for all audiences. These on-going adventure stories are focused on the children audience because good, as well as evil thoughts and intent, is generally a learned behavior. Hopefully, if good intent and respect for other races and cultures is taught at an early age, prejudice and hatred can be stamped out among mankind. Grandma Honey believes that getting to know people with a different background enhance your perspective on different cultures and values. The story challenge everyone to get to know at least one person with a different background, race or culture. It challenges you to keep an open mind and learn to appreciate your differences instead of finding fault with the person. You might be surprise to learn that the person is not that much different from you. You might be developing a friendship for life.

Writing began as a hobby for me. I often wrote poems and short-stories just to pass the time. I became serious about writing professionally after I wrote the short-story (Grandma Honey and The Children of Light) that had everyone in tears. Although this wasn't my intention, I realized I had the power to get an emotional response from the reader. After receiving encouragement to pursue writing, I began writing query letters and sending my material to publishing companies. Publishers wrote that they enjoyed my stories but my material wasn't right for their audience, or I was asked to resubmit my material at a later date. Just when things couldn't get any worse, my 300 page novel (Myradous) was lost. It took me a few years to recreate the novel, but nothing is really as good as the first creation. By then I had lost all hope of becoming a writer. After attending Michael Baisden's book signing of "Never Satisfied" in St. Louis, he encouraged me to promote my own writing. Michael will never know how much he impacted my writing decisions that day.

I'm partial to writing fictional stories because fiction allows me to create imaginary tales - it allows the mind to soar to endless possibilities. I also write stories based on non-fictional story-lines. Other stories created by this author is Come Travel With Me and Myradous.

Grandma Honey is a continuous adventure story. See where she takes The Children of Light next on their journey to encourage peace and human value throughout the world.
