Michalis Violaris

Michalis Violaris was born in Agia Varvara, a small village close to Nicosia.
His musical journey started since 1965, when he began writing his own songs,
like "Oula chalalin sou", "Arkeis tzie pethana" and many others,
which are still sung to this day.
In Plaka, he hosted by Katy Chomata at boite Paraga,
where he had his first meeting with Giannis Spanos.
His first meeting with George Krimizaki,
gave him the ability to sing a lot of songs that became big hits.
He interpreted poems and lyrics: Odysseas Elytis, Iakovos Kambanellis, Kostas Montis,
Kostas Georgousopoulos, Michalis Pasiardis, Lefteris Papadopoulos, Dimitris Iatropoylos,
Giannis Kakoulidis, Swtias Tsotoy and others. He interpreted songs of: Giannis Spanos,
Mimis Plessas, Flax Kokkotos, Claus Koumbi, Giorgos Krimizakis, Giorgos Kontogiwrgoy,
Giorgos Katsaros and others.
