Nancy Jane Small

Nancy Jane Small was raised in a musical farm family in Southern Ontario with 2 sisters and 3 brothers. At 15 she taught herself to play the guitar and today accompanies herself when she writes and sings. In 1990 she took her guitar to a weekend workshop that inspired a re-newed connection to her creativity resulting in the writing of 25 songs that year. Between 1992 and 1996, she was invited to Minsk by the Belarusian Charitable Fund for Children of Chernobyl to perform in orphanages, schools, hospitals and conferences during her 5 humanitarian visits. She has been a music therapy and Reiki volunteer for Hospice London, Canada and has been ‘resident musician’ and served on the London board of Rainbows, a grief and loss support group. She has performed house concerts, music clubs, art galleries and workshops as well as contributing to the artistic community during her 2 year stay at the Findhorn Foundation in North East Scotland. Nancy Jane continues to write, perform and offer her music in her community and abroad.
