OWEN MOORE

Irish-born, folk & country music singer, songwriter and guitarist, Owen Moore is a very familiar face in country music venues and folk clubs around the south coast of England.

A well-travelled veteran of the country music & folk music scenes, Owen plays regularly in bands and duos and also occasionally appears as a solo performer. His music is widely available on numerous internet websites and he can often be seen and heard playing Live in town centres and high streets around the south, as he is an inveterate busker and street performer too.

Over the past few years Owen has also developed into a writer of novel country music and folk-style songs with interesting themes, intriguing words and catchy tunes. His original songs have featured on country music radio shows in the U.K., Ireland, France, Germany, Scandinavia, Italy, Australia, New Zealand and in the U.S.A.

In May 2018, Owen released his seventh album of original compositions, "Hand-painted Songs", which arrived hot on the heels of his previous collection, which had come out towards the end of 2017, "Songs From Small Hotel Rooms By The Sea".

Once again this new recording demonstrates a mixture of Owen's country and folk influences and true-to-form, it is an entirely self-produced project. Owen has written the songs, arranged the music, played all the instruments himself, created the artwork and produced the complete album.

Owen’s six other albums of all-original material include, "Songs From Small Hotel Rooms By The Sea", "Secret Songs Through An Open Window", "Short Songs From Thin Air", "Simplicated Songs", "Rainy Day Songs" and “Windswept Songs On A Broken Guitar”. (All of Owen's original albums have the word "Song" in the title. It's a deliberate choice, as each of his albums are showcases of his work).

In addition, Owen has had several other albums released on CD, including two Live albums recorded in clubs and bars, “Bar Rooms, Back Rooms & October Songs” and "Quiet Songs In Loud Places", as well as a 20-track CD of popular busking choices called, “Street Corner Songs”.

In between times, far from sitting back and taking it easy, Owen has also managed to find time to record three other CDs of some of his favourites, "City Streets & Country Songs", "Songs For Passing Strangers" and "Songs From A Swagman's Suitcase".
