Quotes on Fusiolicious

“If you don’t purchase any other music this year – GET this one… it gets a MOST HIGHLY RECOMMENDED from me, with an “EQ” (energy quotient) rating of a (perfect) 5.00 – meaning that it also gets my “PICK” for “best jazz fusion album”.”
— Rotcod Zzaj (Contemporary Fusion Reviews)

'' I have had a few albums over the years where the band has been led by a bassist, but I can honestly say that I have never heard anything quite like this before. If ever there was a masterclass in modern jazz fusion, and how it can work with funk, then this is it. ''
— Kev Rowland

“Versatile” doesn’t begin to describe the prodigiously talented bassist, composer and educator Oytun Ersan. He is a master composer in his own right, as evidenced by the top-flight funk and progressive jazz presented on his aptly named second album, Fusiolicious.”
— Bass Musician Magazine

“A wildly tasty set that captures what was so cool and attractive abut fusion become consultants turned it into fuzak, this is how it would sound today if it hadn’t been corrupted along the way and the only thing that will take you back to the day is you won’t feel 30 years older listening to this. As hot as it gets, this is a solid dose of the real deal! ”
