Rick Arroyo

Born in the Bronx, New York, Rick Began playing piano at the age of 9, drums at age 11, congas and vibraphone at the age of 14. He started playing professionally at the age of 15.

Composer and arranger, Rick appeared in The Coral Reef Lounge at Mandalay Bay every Monday night for four years with his 10 piece Latin dance band, The Latin Percussion Ensemble. Winner of the Las Vegas Latin Music Awards 2008 in two categories: Best Latin Jazz Performer and Best Latin Jazz and Salsa Band. He has played at The Blue Note, The House Of Blues, The Rio, The MGM Grand Garden arena, Bellagio, Caesars Palace, The Stardust, New York, N.Y. ( in the George Hamilton Cigar Lounge) Wynn, Mirage, Las Vegas Hilton, Bally’s, Avi Hotel and Casino, Treasure Island, Tropicana, Monte Carlo, Luxor, Paris Hotel, Venetian, Palazzo, Gold Coast, Orleans, Planet Hollywood, Tuscany, Four Seasons, Renaissance Hotel, Montelago Village, Casablanca, Texas Station, Cashman Field, Red Rock, Harrah’s Carnival Court and Range Steak House, Stratosphere, Flamingo Hilton, Riviera, Sun Coast, South Point Casino, Rampart Casino, Boulder Station, Palace Station, Santa Fe Station, Fiesta Rancho, Hard Rock Hotel, Green Valley Ranch, Imperial Palace, Aladdin Fremont Street, Lady Luck, Denver, Chicago, North Carolina, France, Italy, Spain and many other locations in Los Angeles and in Las Vegas. Rick has recorded and or played with Luis Conte, Bill Laster, Karen Briggs, Dick Mitchell, Dan St. Marsais, Artie Webb, Francisco Aguabella, Papo Conga, Dan Weinstein, David Romero, Joe Torres, Poncho Roman, Johnny Conga, Papo Rodriguez, Tata Palau, Johnny “Dandy” Rodriguez, Luis Miranda, Bobby Matos, Johnny Polanco, Pachito Alonso, Eddie Resto, Larry White, Hector Casanova, Dick Berk, Ramon Flores, Art Velasco… Shared the stage with The Yellow Jackets, Fatburger, The Rippingtons, Gerald Albright, Carl Fontana Everrett Harp, Gilberto Santa Rosa and many others.
