Roland Marconi

Roland Marconi, a lifelong collector and student of music has been performing and recording music for over 30 years. His passion for music and instruments from every part of the world, combined with a fascination for electronics has generated a diverse and prodigious body of works that spans the genres of Pop, Rock, Jazz, Electronica, Ambient, New Age and World. As a guitarist, songwriter and music producer, Roland has been an integral part of several pop and rock original music projects such as 'The Rexalls', 'Satyricon' and 'Roots of Reality' in which he has performed and recorded using video, audio samples and a mixture of acoustic, electric and electronic instrumentation. His most current projects include the the social activist blues group, 'The Special Interests' and the psychedelic electronic collaboration, 'Resonica' combining ambient electronic textures with psy-funk rhythms and sound FX which received an "Outstanding" mention from U.K. based Noise Festival 2014.
As a producer, songwriter, guitarist, percussionist and project coordinator, Roland has created “A Chance for Peace”, a compilation CD benefit for “Educators for Social Responsibility” released shortly after 9/11 to promote peace and social justice education in our public school systems.
He has scored soundtrack music for the documentary, “The Amazon Rainforest - Struggle for Survival” and the award winning Gary Null produced video documentaries, “AIDS - The Untold Story”, “Gulf War Syndrome: A Deadly Legacy” and “Deconstructing the Myth of AIDS”.
As Music Composer, Sound Producer and Video Artist for the Turano Dance Company, Roland has participated in the critically acclaimed productions of “Captured”, “In-Active Sleep”, “Carmen”, “Carmen in the Underworld”
and “Xpulsion”.
