Ryan Ahlwardt

Ryan Ahlwardt is a singer, songwriter, arranger, and alumnus of the world-renowned a cappella singing group Straight No Chaser. He has collaborated with such artists as The Beach Boys, Barry Manilow, Sara Bareilles, The Temptations, Shania Twain, Wanya Morris of Boyz II Men, Take 6, and more.

Ryan is featured on numerous Straight No Chaser recordings (Atlantic Records) which have sold over two million copies worldwide to date: "Holiday Spirits" (2008), "Six Pack" Vol. 1 & 2 (2009, 2011), "Christmas Cheers" (2009), "With a Twist" (2010), "Live In New York, Holiday Edition" (2010), and "Under the Influence" (2012). Along with a cappella community figurehead Deke Sharon, Ryan wrote the witty holiday tune "Who Spiked the Eggnog," whose music video on YouTube has garnered over 1.3 million views. Ryan has appeared on The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, The Today Show, Late Night With Jimmy Fallon, and countless other national and regional media broadcasts.

He has released 4 independent albums: "I Can See Forever" (2006), "The Malibu EP" (2007), "Live From Malibu" (2008), and his most recent, "You Are With Me" (2014), produced by Matt Mellinger and featuring Mark Kibble and Alvin Chea of the famed Grammy-winning vocal sextet Take 6. As half of the songwriting duo Small Town City, Ryan and his writing partner Michael Luginbill (of Straight No Chaser) recently released an album of original material entitled "Round in Circles" (2013).

A native Hoosier, Ryan lives outside Indianapolis with his wife Lauren and two children.
