Scott Hrabko

KC's own Scott Hrabko is a singer/songwriter who can trace his roots back to the fertile crescent of the local indie rock scene of the late '80s. It took him long enough, but he finally released his debut solo album, “Gone Places” in November, 2013 -- a set of funny and poignant songs of love and loss, scattered across the haunted American landscape. Less than a year later "Biscuits & Gravity" appeared, recorded with his fine band, The Rabbits (Josh Arnold - Bass & Harmony Vocals; Emily Tummons - Harmony Vocals, Accordion & Ukulele), along with their former lead guitarist, Kirk Scott (listed in the album credits under "Rabbit Emeritus"). Hrabko's third album, and second with the Rabbits, entitled "Summer", is due June 23rd, 2017. The new lineup includes Marco Pascolini - Steel Guitar and Baritone Guitar; Fred Wickham - Electric Guitar; Jason Beers - Bass, and Tim Higgins- Drums. The Rabbits have appeared at the Crossroads Music Fest, Folk Alliance International Conference at Crown Center and The Westport Roots Festival -- also featured as Live-in-studio on KKFI 90.1 FM programs, Mid-Day Medley, hosted by Mark Manning and River Trade Radio, hosted by Mikal Shapiro and Kasey Rausch, and his songs have been in heavy rotation on Chuck Haddix's legendary Fish Fry on KCUR 89.3 FM.
