Sean Tobin

As a solo artist who got his start playing covers in coffee shops, bars and basements around the New Jersey, Sean's influences range from the Punk Rock sounds of the Stone Pony to the American rumble of a Chevrolet pickup and everything in-between.

Sean grew up in Brielle, New Jersey, just ten miles south of the music Mecca that is Asbury Park. Entranced by the rock n' roll scene of seaside bars and the innate rhythm of his home state, Sean wanted nothing more than to contribute a new sound to the symphony-- his sound.

As an Irish American growing up on the Jersey Shore, Sean was surrounded by music at all times. As a kid, he spent many a Saturday afternoon cruising the streets of Monmouth County with his father, thumbing through the CD collection and choosing between the Wolfe Tones, Springsteen and Van Morrison.

When he was 20, Sean moved to Ireland for six months where he performed as a busker on the streets of Galway. Two years later, after getting a degree in Creative Writing from Fairfield University, Sean returned to Europe to walk El Camino de Santiago in Spain with nothing but his guitar and a backpack. He performed in every major city along the pilgrimage-- Leon, Burgos, and Santiago de Compostela-- and then continued his tour of Europe in Lisbon, Porto, Lagos, Madrid, Barcelona, Nice, and Rome. Three months later, he returned to his favorite streets in the city of Galway.

Sean's first single: "Winter," was written in deep connection to his youth in the hamlets of New Jersey. He recently released a second single titled "The Man from the North Country." Both songs will be featured on his debut album, This Midnight, which will be released on July 13th, 2018.
