Steve Rempis

Indiana born-and-bred songwriter/guitarist/singer Steve Rempis was raised on a hearty and varied diet of "old country", "classic rock", and everything musically contemporary throughout his childhood.

Inspired to pick up a guitar by the video for the song "You Got Lucky" by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers ("My Beatles-on-Ed Sullivan-moment"), Steve began writing songs while still in his pre-teens. By his early twenties, he had become a tunesmith of some note, having gotten most of his rookie "crap songs" out of his system while still in high school.

A succession of various bands (everything from "classic rock cover-band" to a "Smiths tribute band") kept Steve's musical "chops" sharp throughout the '90s and 2000s.

Today, Steve splits his time between his songwriting, live performances, his business, and his family.

Musically, Steve's songs range from country to pop to rock to every sub-genre imaginable: "I write what I feel, and leave the labels to the critics." Fortunately, whether it's a "new-country uptempo" track, or an '80s-styled "power-pop" tune (his favorite genre); Steve always manages to make every song sound authentic and "real"; a trick at which many other "multi-genre" writers often fail.
