Born in London, England, Steve spent 4 years as a writer and recording artist at DJM. He left London in the 1980's to write and perform in Los Angeles, where he was a house writer with L.E.M. America. "Steve Stapley's gravelly, soulful vocals swell emotively over understated, clean acoustic guitar. His lyrics address the hopeful and the wistful, striking a captivating balance that is somehow both soothing and stimulating." BMI. Emotive, intelligent lyrics and beautiful melodies are the hallmark of Steve's work. He has also written, co-produced and, together with his wife, singer, songwriter, voice/over artist and radio presenter, Lynda Hayes, performed on Sleepy Old Town, an award winning CD of lullabies and songs of childhood. Lynda Hayes: Singer/voice-over artist, who has sung at Ronnie Scotts with Dizzie Gilespie, Oscar Peterson and Buddy Rich. Lynda has worked with Barry Manilow, and has recorded with Nik Kershaw, George Michael (Wham! Young Guns), Lloyd Cole and the Commotions, Meatloaf and many others. Her voice has helped sell thousands of products including; Coca Cola, Mercedes Benz, Martini, Barbie Dolls, Nescafe, Toys R Us and she has recently voiced the Alfa Romeo ad featuring Uma Thurman.
