Suzi Shelton

Suzi Shelton is a multi-award winning singer/songwriter and family performer based in Brooklyn, NY who has been bringing joy and musical fun to families for over a decade. She has three albums under her belt, and a popular show on her YouTube Channel called "Sing with Suzi" featuring weekly videos for young children.

Suzi is getting ready to release her fourth family album this Spring 2018, which is filled with upbeat, inspiring and powerful songs about believing in yourself as well as more whimsical songs about ladybugs and raindrops. Her new musical style is eclectic-pop with a more modern edge and is co-produced by two of her band mates, Greg Mayo (Jon Bon Jovi, Blood, Sweat & Tears) and Dan Weiner (STOMP, America's Got Talent Band). Her new album is all about inclusion and uses socially conscious messages to remind everyone that they can be comfortable in their own skin and express themselves joyously.

This vibrant new album features many special guests including bass player Geoff Kraly (Paris Monster), GRAMMY Award Winner Tim Kubart (The Sunny Side Up Show, Tim Kubart and the Space Cadets), multi-instrumentalist Jeff Kerestes (Hamilton, Tim Kubart and the Space Cadets), indie songstresses Bess Rogers and Hannah Winkler, singer/songwriters Amelia Robinson (Mil's Trills), Vered Ronen (Vered and the Babes), Katie Mullins (Katie Ha Ha Ha), and even her 13 year old daughter Emma!

If you have never experienced Suzi's live shows, they are a perfect match for preschools, elementary schools and family performances, as they are high energy, engaging, musically exceptional, and inclusive of all families with a wide variety of backgrounds. Her band consists of some of the finest musicians in NYC, who are not only amazing musically, but are incredibly kid-friendly and fun!

When Suzi isn't writing or performing, she is teaching. Suzi teaches music and movement classes and workshops in various elementary schools and preschools throughout NYC and most recently spearheaded an in-school folk music program called "Community Through Music," where lower income NYC schools can experience live music complete with instruments including the banjo, guitar, ukulele, bass and drums. Suzi is also a proud mother of two, Sebastian and Emma (ages 19 and 13), and enjoys spending as much down time with them as she can, along with her husband Dave and their 5 year old miniature daschund, Penny.
