Sven Horlemann

Sven is a multi-instrumentalist from Karlsruhe, Germany. He releases solo records that include classic rock songs with vocals, progressive and instrumental tracks. Sven divides his creativity between the melodic rock band High Road Easy (ft. Jan Knopf) and his music production studio.

Former bands include the progressive metal band Ocean Bed ft. singer Klaus Schmuck.

As of 2016, Sven teamed up with singer Udo Maurer building songs that feature Udos raspy rock voice. Their first collaboration can be heard on 4 songs of 'Happy Turns To Blue', the latest release (November 02, 2016).
Also included is powerhouse / fusion drummer Magnus Brandell, who studied with Mike Mangini and adds his personal touch to all songs Sven records.

Chronology:
Since aquiering his first 4-track recording machine Sven was, like many other guitar players, recording his various ideas on tape. The focus was always on writing songs with vocals, but of course there were many ideas that led to songs were no vocals were suitable.

With the help of producer Wolfgang Roch Sven recorded his first instrumental demo tape "Into The Atmosphere". Released in 1993 he got great reviews all over Europe.

During the nineties Sven was accumulating more than 50 recordings of carefully arranged instrumental tracks awaiting production. 40 of the best songs were mixed down from 4-track tape and shelved as the "Home Demos 1994 - 1998".

It was until the affordability of personal computers and the emerging digital audio workstation software by Steinberg that Sven decided to not only build his own studio (ShoreRocks), but also start to learn how to record, mix and master his songs. These first steps in 1999-2000 materialised into another set of 16 demo tracks called "Free Your Soul".

In 2000 Sven re-recorded 14 of these demoes and released his first CD "The Nature Of Things". Sven Horlemann then founded Ocean Bed with singer Klaus Schmuck and bass player Andy Sachs and released several CD's and EP's with them.

In 2009 he finally found time to gather new ideas and produce "in.com.plete". This album was released digitally in 2010.

March 21st, 2013 Sven released his 2nd solo album "Standing Tall". Three songs feature Klaus Schmuck on vocals.

Sven also released 3 records with melodic rock singer Jan Knopf, a true powerhouse, with their band HIGH ROAD EASY.

The latest release is 'Happy Turns To Blue' and features singer Udo Maurer.
