The Code

The contemporary jazz/fusion group The Code was formed in 1995 when guitarist/composer John Pelosi, keyboardist Rick Fellini, bassist Patrick Kilbride and drummer Paul DeLonge combined and released a debut cd entitled "The Code".This first release was praised for it's guitar and synth driven compositions, great solos, and powerful rhythm section.
In 2000 The Code released a second cd entitled "Figli di Baia".Personnel changes saw Richard Evans replace Rick Fellini on keys on most songs and include the addition of vocalist Paul Christopher and percussionist Armando Borg.As a result the sound pallete expanded significantly.
Markedly different from the first release, the compositions reflect a more evolved and refined collection of peices, balanced with stellar solos from all.
The third release "Mianca" in Aug 2009 gives notice of this group coming into it's own. Rick Fellini rejoins the group on most tracks with the exception of Tony Padalino guesting on one track. This release gives testament to guitarist John Pelosi's strong emerging voice not only on the guitar but as a strong composer in an idiom often bereft of compositional diversity.
