The Ever After

The Ever After are the soundtrack to an alternate reality. A rock act with elements of folk, blues, funk, bossa and electronic music, their sound has been influenced by great artists like Van Morrison, Beck, B.B. King, Cat Stevens and Radiohead while remaining unique and fresh. A close friend once commented the group's ethereal sound reminded her of music from a dream. And so The Ever After sound became known as Dream Rock.

In early 2009, Andreas Blachere (Icenine, The Bad Sleep Well, Apostles) decided to branch out musically from the projects he was currently involved in. With a bunch of original music yet to be recorded, Andreas holed himself up at his studio in a refurbished pencil factory in Brooklyn, NY and recorded 10 tracks that would become the first demo album of his new project The Ever After. The freshman effort entitled Oh Dear! was released in December 2009.

Since this first release, The Ever After have been playing shows at venues all over North America, including New York, Boston, Montreal and San Francisco. The lineup of the group has changed and evolved over the years, with great musicians like Becca Stevens, Greg Ritchie and Amos Fisher all lending a hand, but the act continues to produce and perform music under the direction of the founder Blachere.

In July 2013 The Ever After released their second recording, an EP called Take One produced and recorded by Blachere. The song The Doll was featured in a short film by Shubihashish Buhtani called The Star. In March 2015 the group was accepted as Featured Artists in the annual Yes Art Expo at the historic St James Theater in Montreal, where they played in front of hundreds of artists and art lovers alike.

In the latter half of 2015, Andreas took a break from TEA to write and produce his first album of electronic music as The Resident Alien. The album entitled The Only Constant Is Change will be officially released in the spring of 2016.

After The Resident Alien release Blachere plans to finish up the tracks for an upcoming The Ever After EP, part of which will be recorded at the new studio he built and manages in Outremont called Studio SR. TEA is also booking shows for the summer and fall and is activily looking for personal to help with booking and promotion.
