The Twisters

The Twisters with Alice Violato (Italy) blend with grint different styles together and have forged a sound of their own, that recalling r'n'b is looking forward to manifold genres like soul, funky and blues. Pleasantly acclaimed by many blues Italian and foreign authorities, the band gained access to some of the most important Black Music Festivals in Europe, including Pistoia Blues in 2016.
In 2018 they launched "Arise", featuring songs inspired by true stories of cowboys, murderers and awful creatures from the Italian country.
In 2014 the band released ‘MusicOdyssey’, a new album featuring ten original songs; a blasting exposure of all the influences of the band, in which reinterpreted episodes from the Homeric epic and tales of love and solitude are merged to a genuine effort of representing a new and creative sound. «Down That Road», an extract from the album, is also featured as the first videoclip of the band available on YouTube.
‘No Ordinary Blues’ (2011) is the first recording since the singer Alice Violato entered the band in 2010. The album presents a renovated sound for the band, now revealing self-confidence in relaxed mood tracks and in soul filled standard blues.
‘Blowing the Blues Everywhere’ (2007) is the first release of the band, featuring eight original songs. The album was awarded with several prizes and earned the band an opening act for Solomon Burke in 2009.
