BIOGRAPHY
Top Adlerman
Recording Artist Top Adlerman was born Jean Adler Gaston in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. His start
in the music industry as a Ragga/Rap/Kompa artist can be attributed to his love for dancing to
Reggae and Hip-Hop music as a young boy in the streets of Haiti. In 1992, Alderman’s group
of street dancers known as M.C. Top was discovered by the late Master Dji, the godfather of
hip-hop in Haiti and the “Pioneer of the Creole Hip-Hop Movement. Master Dji was influential
in pushing M.C. Top’s freshman ragga/rap album. Top Adlerman recorded two additional
group albums before going solo in 2000 with his breakout album, “Tet Yo Sho”, supported by
the number one hit. The follow-up album “Watcha Krazem” produced a string of hits such as
“Ville", “Angel, "Konsole", Kile", “Pwoblem Mwen” and "Bliye Bagay".
Critics and hardcore fans love the flow and delivery in Top’s music. His popular videos can
be seen on YouTube, and other medias around the world. He has shared a stage
with chart-topping artists in various music genres such as Young Joc, Bobby Valentino, T-Vice,
Wyclef and Sweet Mickey.
Top Adlerman is currently working on his third album, which promises to keep in the spirit of the
Kreyol hip hop movement with his hardcore beats and ragga vibe. Fans can look for the album
to drop in May 2009. Other current projects include a Jamaican compilation with BJG Records,
and an English album, giving his fans the opportunity to experience another side to his artistic
talent. Top has also created his own record label, Watcha Krazem. The first members to the
label include up and coming rappers, Superboy and T-Jude.
Top Adlerman is using his street cred to set the groundwork for his charitable mission, the Lilly
Foundation (named after his mother Lillian), designed to raise up Haiti through education, food
relief and other immediate needs.
Fans can witness Top’s high energy performances at various festivals in the United States, in Europe, Canada, St.
Martin, Martinique, and Guadalupe, just to name a few. For more information send an e-mail to
