Vanessa Campagna

At 18 years old Vanessa Campagna is already a seasoned professional. She’s been warming up crowds for industry icons such as Reba, Wynona, and Loretta since she was 8 years old. It is her commanding presence and explosive stage personality along with her dynamic and versatile voice that has made her a fan favorite and has catapulted her to national attention. These traits along with her passion to perform have earned her the opportunity to work with some of the best music entertainment people in the business as well as major venues across the country including the Superbowl of Country Music, “Jamboree in the Hills”, in Belmont, Ohio.

She was only six when she sang her first National Anthem in front of more than 35,000 people for the Pittsburgh Pirates and only 10 years old when she got her first TV appearance when she was chosen out of 24,000 youngsters to appear on CBS’ Star Search.

Since then, she has performed with some of the greatest artists in the music industry such as Sugarland, Trace Adkins, Blake Shelton, Allan Jackson, Brooks & Dunn, Dierks Bentley, Keith Urban, Kelly Pickler, Tricia Yearwood, and more. She has worked and written with songwriter Bob Corbin, famous for his many hits with Kenny Rogers, Alabama and the Oakridge Boys. Bob and Vanessa went to Nashville to produce her first two albums, “Vanessa Campagna”, a wholesome, yet powerful four song cd that debuted her 10 year old vocal power and at age 14, “Can You Hear Me Now” a full length production which began to show her versatility as a vocalist and writer. Working with Bob and the studio musicians taught Vanessa much about putting it all together.

It is her current CD, “For You”, however, in which Vanessa begins to show her maturity and potential. Vanessa wrote all but one of the songs and co-produced the album with Anthony Rankin and Rick Witkowski at Studio L. Her vocals soar and stir strong emotions. Both vocally and lyrically her ballads are moving and powerful, as in her songs, “This Bad” and “One More Minute”. But she can also be fun and light-hearted as in her title song, “For You”. Currently, track 4, “How Was I to Know” is getting wide-spread air play and has landed her on the Media Base Country Charts.

It is this variety and this versatility that enabled Vanessa to land the theme song for one of TV’s newest and brightest television shows, Bar Karma, on Current TV (CURNT). For this song, Vanessa displays a bluesy/rock-n-roll/gospel sound.

It is also this variety, yet vocal purity that earned her the respect of world-renowned multi-award winning, director/composer, Marvin Hamlisch; who claims, “Vanessa is the real deal”. It is also why he took her along with him to the National, Buffalo Philharmonic, and Pittsburgh Symphonies for a variety of tours. The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette said after one of her shows, “…the blossoming star power and whopping voice of young Vanessa Campagna shined brightly” and in the words of the Buffalo News after a “Holiday Pops” performance, “Vanessa is a precociously gifted vocal powerhouse and a mature singer reminiscent of a young Celine Dion.”

Vanessa’s Christmas Show has become a widely sought after show within the tri-state area. With the beautiful Christmas standards we have all come to love, and with the new and exciting pop music of today, Vanessa has been able to warm the hearts of many as she spreads the Christmas Spirit. So many fans have said, “It wouldn’t be Christmas without seeing Vanessa’s Christmas show.” “Her stage presence is unbelievable and her personality is contagious!” says one industry insider.

Because of her talents and accomplishments, Vanessa was the focus of Vanessa’s Story, a 30 minute documentary on WQED-TV (PBS affiliate in Pittsburgh, PA). The program gave a personal look at her passion for performing and provided insight into the not so every-day life of this teen and what it takes to balance a career and a typical young life.

She is on a major highway to success. In the words of many, “You can try and slow Vanessa down, but you’ll never be able to stop her.” In Vanessa’s book, dreams are meant to come true!
